The successful applicant will work with Dr Richardson to further develop IP owned by the University. This IP was invented in Dr Richardson’s laboratory to facilitate the intracellular delivery and extracellular transport of gene modulating and editing technologies, such as Cas9 :: gRNA and siRNA. Experience working with: siRNA, antisense, Cas9, recombinant proteins, mammalian cell culture, western immunoblotting and exosomes is desirable. Candidates should hold a minimum of a first-class BSc honours degree in a related subject, though a PhD would also be appropriate to the salary scale. Experience working with attenuated protein toxins used to load siRNA into exosomes inside cultured cells is essential. This is an eight month fixed term appointment in the first instance.
