Based within the School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences on the World Heritage site at the Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich, you will be part of an expansion of our world-leading Multi-Disciplinary and Multi-Scale Modelling team. Joining the Expanding Excellence in England (E3) funded, M34Impact project you will contribute to tackling major societal challenges affecting the environment, quality of life, safety, security, and the economy. 

The role is intended to support the development and enhancement of M34Impact’s world leading software tools with a focus on mathematical modelling of complex phenomena. The role therefore cuts across and supports all of the research, enterprise and knowledge exchange themes and activities of M34Impact. In this role you will carry out research, contribute to teaching, and deliver shared software engineering and scientific computing capabilities whilst following professional best practice. The role is currently classified as an academic role, but, for the right candidate, could be considered as a professional services contract.
