Our Information and Library Services Directorate delivers award winning IT services and support, library, academic and digital skills and learning enhancement to staff and students across the university. Our digital mission is to ensure everyone in our community is equipped to effectively use digital services, data and technology with confidence, efficiency and creativity in their learning, teaching, research and organisational support.
The university is seeking a highly motivated, dynamic, and talented Senior Network Analyst to support and drive the existing and future development of our network infrastructure. Working within the Network Team, the postholder will be responsible for the design, maintenance, and delivery of networking services for the University. They will also provide subject matter expertise and guidance for network infrastructure, projects, and services.
The successful candidate will have;
- Experience of running an enterprise class network service
- Experience of installation, configuration, management, and administration of network infrastructure such as firewalls, routers and switches and wireless infrastructure
- Experience of configuration, management, and administration of network services such as DHCP, DNS, IP Address Management, VPNs, RADIUS/TACACS+, Syslog, NTP.
- Experience of designing new, or substantially upgrading, network topologies and services
- Experience of monitoring and designing monitoring systems that ensure service reliability, service availability and adherence to KPIs
In addition to providing a support service around all our campuses, you will be responsible for driving through enhancements by reviewing existing processes and working with key stakeholders to introduce improved ways of working by implementing new functionality, under the remit of continual service improvement.
Based on the beautiful and historic Greenwich Campus by the Thames, this is an exciting time to be joining the University’s Technology and Operations team within Information & Library Services. The University has a progressive and ambitious Digital Strategy, and you will be joining at a time when we are looking to implement changes to achieve those goals.
The successful candidate must be Educated to degree level or hold a professional qualification.
