We are looking to recruit a Senior Research Fellow in the Institute for Lifecourse Development (ILD). The post holder would be expected to work across the ILD Centres with particular support for the Centres for Professional Workforce Development and Chronic Illness and Ageing. Applicants’ interests and expertise should lie in areas relevant to the Centres.
If you are not shortlisted for the role of Senior Research Fellow, please indicate on the application form whether you would like to be considered for the role of Research Fellow when you are applying.
The ILD is an interdisciplinary research institute at the University of Greenwich, which provides an innovative, effective environment to support research and knowledge exchange, as recognised in REF2021.
Applicants for the role of Senior Research Fellow should have a PhD in Social Sciences, Health, Human Sciences or Humanities that is relevant to workforce development or chronic illness and ageing, recognition within the academic community for their specific discipline, an appropriate track record of winning external funding and publishing high-quality publications, experience of working with external partners, and commitment to working with colleagues to develop genuinely innovative approaches to research, knowledge exchange and practice. Applicants who are close to completion of a PhD may be considered for a Research Fellow role. The roles are available immediately.
The ILD has seven Centres (details available at https://www.gre.ac.uk/institute-lifecourse-development) bringing together research and practitioner staff to foreground, consolidate and grow cross-professional and cross-disciplinary work, developing impactful lifecourse focused research and knowledge exchange activities to directly resonate with our stakeholders, communities and partners, through addressing societal challenges.
For an informal discussion about the post please contact Prof. Claire Monks at C.P.Monks@greenwich.ac.uk.
Should you have any queries please contact the People Directorate Team on Peopleoperationsfehhs@greenwich.ac.uk
We operate a hybrid working policy, as set out in the University’s Working Principles and Guidelines.
