Do you have what it takes to make an impact on the global system? We are looking for exceptional candidates to help drive forward our research and teaching in food safety and food innovation.
The Natural Resources Institute (NRI – https://www.nri.org/) of the University of Greenwich carries out specialised research, teaching, training and consultancy with a focus on food, agriculture, environment and sustainable livelihoods.
NRI is currently expanding teaching, research and enterprise work in food safety and food innovation as part of its commitment to food systems development in the UK and internationally.
NRI’s work is globally respected and has won many awards including a recent Queen’s Anniversary Prize for Further and Higher Education. The Institute is located at the University’s vibrant Medway Campus in Chatham Maritime, Kent.
NRI is looking to appoint two new lecturers to expand our team delivering high quality teaching food-related subjects at undergraduate and postgraduate level and undertake related research and/or enterprise activities. The focus on the role will be on teaching with significant opportunities for research.NRI has recently benefitted from an investment from Research England that has allowed it to build on existing research excellence including new food innovation facilities at the Medway Campus.NRI is also part of the Strength in Places funded “Growing Kent and Medway” projects that supports regional local economic development. There will also likely to be opportunities to supervise postgraduate MPhil/PhD students.
