Supported by our simulation strategy and resources, the school delivers a range of undergraduate and post graduate courses leading to registration in allied healthcare, nursing and midwifery professions. The University has invested over &pound;8 million in the development of a state-of-the-art simulation centre, which further enhances our record of teaching, research and knowledge exchange innovation. We also have a wide portfolio of post qualifying provision including a MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice. The school currently runs a successful undergraduate (UG) Midwifery programme in its portfolio and are looking to appoint experienced Midwifery educator/s.</p><p><strong>The Post&nbsp;</strong></p><p>The post holder/s will work with our midwifery team and employers to deliver our UG Midwifery programme (including an apprenticeship offer). The programme has been designed collaboratively with key stakeholders; the post holder will work closely with our stakeholders on a continuing basis. This post will be offered on a fixed term basis until 31st July 2027</p><p><strong>The Person&nbsp;</strong></p><p>We are seeking to recruit experienced registered midwives who have ambition to develop as a midwifery educator and academic, having developed teaching and assessing skills through a mentorship/practice assessor role or equivalent. You will play a key role in facilitating teaching and learning across our midwifery provision. We are happy to consider part-time working and/or secondments. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to complete a teaching qualification (PGCHE) and progress through our GOLD framework to achieve HEA senior fellowship, as well as contribute to faculty wide research and knowledge exchange activities. Opportunity also exists to undertake doctoral studies through a professional doctorate or PhD programme. NRI works closely with governments, international organisations, NGOs, research institutions, and private-sector partners to deliver impactful research and innovation that contributes to sustainable and equitable development.</p><p>We are seeking an outstanding and highly motivated Research Fellow to join the project &ldquo;Scaling Nature-Based Solutions for Climate Resilience, Biodiversity Conservation, and Sustainable Livelihoods in Ethiopia&rsquo;s Drylands: A Participatory Systems Approach&rdquo;, funded by the Global Centre on Biodiversity for Climate (GCBC). The successful candidate will play a central role in delivering an innovative interdisciplinary research programme focused on developing, evaluating, and scaling Nature-Based Solutions in Ethiopia&rsquo;s drylands. The role will involve mixed-methods research, stakeholder engagement, participatory systems approaches, scenario analysis, development of decision-support tools, scientific publishing, and collaboration with project partners in Ethiopia and the UK.</p><p>The ideal candidate will have a PhD in a relevant discipline together with experience in interdisciplinary sustainability research. Experience in systems thinking and modelling approaches, stakeholder engagement, and working in international development contexts is essential. Manufacturing of new &lsquo;product(s)&rsquo; and their life cycle analysis (LCA) and techno economic analysis (TEA) will also be undertaken in this role.</p><p>The primary purpose of this role is to undertake a leading role in the research programme involving (1) waste screening, characterisation, (2) valorisation using CO<sub id="isPasted">2</sub> mineralisation, and (3) product(s) characterisation including LCA and TEA.</p><p>The successful candidate needs to understand the risks associated with waste material handling and testing, and demonstrate an advanced knowledge of physical and chemical characterisation/testing of products. The University has invested over &pound;8 million in the development of a state-of-the-art simulation centre, which further enhances our record of teaching, research and knowledge exchange innovation. We also have a wide portfolio of post qualifying provision including a MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice. The school currently runs a successful undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) adult nursing programme in its portfolio and are looking to appoint an experienced adult nursing educator/s.</p><p>The Post&nbsp;</p><p>The post holder/s will work with our adult nursing team and employers to deliver our UG/PG adult nursing programme (including an apprenticeship offer). The programme has been designed collaboratively with key stakeholders; the post holder will work closely with our stakeholders on a continuing basis. &nbsp;You will also have opportunity to participate in research and knowledge exchange activities coordinated by the Faculty&rsquo;s Institute of Lifecourse Development (ILD). The ILD brings together researchers and practitioners from Health, Education and Human Sciences to tackle a range of lifecourse related issues, and has been instrumental in our recent success in the 2021 REF.&nbsp;</p><p>The Person&nbsp;</p><p>You will be an experienced adult nurse with a background in education and/or research to teach across our pre-registration programmes. This is a great opportunity for an individual who has ambition to develop as a nurse educator and academic, having developed teaching and assessing skills through a mentorship/practice assessor role or equivalent. You will have a passion for education, thrive on seeing students succeed, have ambition and an inquiring mind. You will have the opportunity to complete a PGCHE and progress through our GOLD framework to achieve HEA senior fellowship, if required, as well as contribute to faculty wide research and enterprise activities. The role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-quality teaching, applied research and enterprise activity across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, while helping to shape an innovative and industry-relevant learning environment.</p><p>The successful candidate will contribute across the School of Engineering, while playing a key role within Electrical and Electronic Engineering. We are particularly interested in applicants who can combine strong theoretical knowledge with practical expertise, including the design and delivery of laboratory-based teaching and hands-on learning activities. Expertise in PLCs and automation would be especially valuable, particularly in relation to the use and continued development of our new Siemens PLC laboratory. The post holder will also be expected to contribute to the School&rsquo;s wider ambitions in student experience, external engagement and applied research, and to support its broader strategic aims, including ensuring that programmes continue to meet the requirements of relevant PSRBs.</p><p>We are seeking a committed and forward-thinking academic with a strong background in teaching, research or professional practice in a relevant discipline. This post will support the School&rsquo;s broader strategic aims and help ensure that our programmes meet the requirements of PSRBs, with particular value placed on accreditation and alignment with institutions such as the IET.</p><p style="margin-left:0cm;">We are seeking an internationally recognised and research-active academic leader with a strong track record of leading research groups, centres, interdisciplinary collaborations and externally funded programmes in Digital Engineering, Robotics, Automation and Applied AI. You will bring sector-informed insight, academic leadership, and pedagogical expertise that enhance the student learning experience and support the advancement of our curriculum. A key aspect of this role will be the ability to inspire and lead high-performing research teams, secure major external research and innovation funding, supervise doctoral researchers, and build internationally recognised research capability.</p><p style="margin-left:0cm;">Depending on experience and expertise, there may be opportunities for the successful candidate to undertake wider academic leadership responsibilities, including positions such as Deputy Head of School, Associate Head of School, Director of Research or Portfolio Leadership roles.</p><p style="margin-left:0cm;">The role holder will contribute strategically to the University&rsquo;s ambitions in the Research Excellence Framework (REF), Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF), and Knowledge Exchange Framework (KEF), as well as a strong commitment to enhancing student satisfaction and experience. A PhD or equivalent professional experience in a related area is essential. Proven experience in higher education teaching and curriculum development, a track record of research or professional innovation, success in securing research grants, and a clear understanding of PSRB expectations are essential.             <p id="isPasted">Greenwich Business School is looking for an enthusiastic and student-focused candidate to join our Postgraduate Placements Team as a <strong>Faculty Placement Advisor</strong>. This important role will support postgraduate students on placement programmes to engage with the placement process, build their employability skills and prepare for successful placement opportunities.</p><p>This is an exciting and varied role for someone who enjoys working directly with students, delivering practical advice and helping people take their next step towards employment. You will play a key role in supporting student engagement across our postgraduate placement programmes, helping students understand the placement journey, prepare for recruitment activity and make the most of opportunities created through our employer engagement work.</p><p><strong>Key responsibilities in this role include</strong></p><ul type="disc"><li>Supporting postgraduate students through the placement journey, from initial engagement and preparation through to placement authorisation and ongoing support.</li><li>Delivering placement preparation activity, including workshops, drop-ins, information sessions and lecture shout-outs.</li><li>Providing practical careers-related advice to students, including support with CVs, applications, interviews, job search activity and professional communication.</li><li>Monitoring student engagement with placement preparation activity and identifying students who may need additional support or intervention.</li><li>Working closely with the Faculty Employer Engagement &amp; Placement Manager and Senior Faculty Employer Engagement &amp; Placement Advisor to connect students with employer opportunities and recruitment activity.</li><li>Supporting student participation in employer events, careers workshops, placement briefings and other employability activity.</li><li>Maintaining accurate records of student engagement, placement activity and advice provided.</li><li>Working with placement operations and compliance colleagues to ensure students understand placement requirements and are directed to the right specialist support where needed.</li><li>Contributing to improved placement outcomes, graduate outcomes and the overall student experience for postgraduate placement students.</li></ul><p><strong>About you</strong></p><p>We are looking for someone who is confident working with students and passionate about helping them succeed. You will be able to explain processes clearly, deliver engaging sessions and provide practical guidance that helps students feel prepared and motivated.</p><p>You will have strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage a busy workload and support students at different stages of the placement journey. You should be comfortable working with data and systems, maintaining accurate records and using student engagement information to help identify where support is needed.</p><p>You may already have experience in careers, employability, placements, student engagement, advice work or a similar student-facing role. Experience supporting CVs, applications, interviews or employability workshops would be particularly valuable.</p><p>Greenwich Business School is one of four faculties at the University of Greenwich and offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
