A fantastic opportunity to join a Library Services team delivering a first-rate service to Library users and supporting the University of Greenwich to deliver education without boundaries.

Greenwich has three exceptional libraries at our three campuses, at the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich (a World Heritage Site), Avery Hill in South East London, and at Chatham Maritime in the Medway towns. This post will be based in the stunning award-winning Stockwell Street Library at Greenwich.

We share collections infrastructure with the University of Kent and Canterbury Christ Church University at our Medway campus, providing an opportunity to collaborate with our partners.

This post will facilitate the smooth running of library acquisitions. You will co-ordinate acquisitions processes for the entire lifecycle of library materials (including books, journals and other resources, in all formats), from ordering, to payment of invoices, through to online activation.

This is an exciting time to be joining the Collections team; we are currently developing a new reading list system which will be central to our future purchasing strategies. You will be expected to develop new acquisitions procedures and workflows in line with the new reading list system.  Ensuring that our acquisition processes provide timely and seamless access to information resources, will be a key part of the role.

You will have experience of working in a library environment, have a high level of numeracy and attention to detail, be enthusiastic about working with people and collections, and have a flexible approach to your work with a willingness to learn new tools and to develop new skills.

The post will be based at the outstanding World Heritage Site of the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich. This is permanent position, and the role attracts London Weighting and salary related local government pension.
