Salary:  £33,199 to £38,460 plus £3640 London weighting per annum

The University is seeking to recruit one new academic post in the field of Interactive Media who wish to embark on an academic career conducting quality research and lecturing on postgraduate and undergraduate programmes. Desirable candidates will have a background in one of the following areas:Computer Games, Visual and Interactive Storytelling, HCI, Mobile Applications. Exceptional candidates in related areas will also be considered. 


Successful candidates will work closely with departmental academic teams and will be expected to contribute to existing teaching and research. These posts will be allocated to one of the University career pathways: Teaching and Scholarship or Research. For the Research pathway, the role will include a strong emphasis on, and support for, research and enterprise activity, including participation in projects jointly launched by other members of the Department and Faculty.  Candidates will be expected to join one of our existing research teams relevant to their specialism.

You will be able to demonstrate a strong teaching and research profile, including a track record of high-quality publications, as well as the potential to contribute successfully to funding applications. You will have a good first degree (1 or 2:1) in a relevant subject together with a PhD.
