          <title><![CDATA[Assistant Head of Quality Assurance (Curriculum Shape) (5485)]]></title>

            <p id="isPasted">The Quality Assurance Team plays a vital role in safeguarding academic standards and supporting an excellent student experience. Working closely with academic and professional services colleagues, we ensure that quality assurance processes are effective, transparent and enable innovation in curriculum design.</p><p>We are seeking an experienced and proactive Assistant Head of Quality Assurance (Curriculum Shape) to lead the quality assurance aspects of the University&rsquo;s Curriculum Shape project. This is a significant leadership role within a major institutional change programme, responsible for overseeing validation and revalidation activity as the University transitions to a new academic framework.</p><p>Working closely with the Head of Quality Assurance, the Curriculum Shape project team and senior colleagues across the institution, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for validation activity. You will oversee the planning, scheduling and delivery of a large portfolio of validation and revalidation events, ensuring institutional milestones are achieved and risks effectively managed.</p><p>As the senior lead for Curriculum Shape validation activity, you will provide expert advice and guidance to programme teams, maintain oversight of the validation pipeline, monitor progress against project timelines, and produce reports for senior leaders and governance groups. You will also lead continuous improvement initiatives, line manage the Curriculum Shape Validation Coordinator, and support colleagues involved in validation activity.</p><p>The successful candidate will have substantial experience of academic quality assurance and validation within higher education, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to balance strategic oversight with operational delivery.
