            <p id="isPasted">The Research Systems Administrator (M<sup id="isPasted">3</sup>4Impact) is a unique opportunity to bridge IT infrastructure and support together with world leading research and enterprise teams at the University of Greenwich.</p><p>The Research Systems Administrator (M<sup id="isPasted">3</sup>4Impact) is responsible for actively supporting and engaging with researchers working as part of the <a href="https://www.gre.ac.uk/research/m34impact">M<sup>3</sup>4Impact</a> expansion programme. A key part of this role of this will be supporting researchers to get the best out of the University&rsquo;s High Performance Computing (HPC) environment, assisting these colleagues in maximising their research and enterprise outcomes. This will be achieved through the effective management and orchestration of people, products, providers, and processes, driving the implementation of functional enhancements to the HPC.</p><p>The role sits within the Platforms &amp; Research Systems Team, in the Information &amp; Library Services Directorate (ILS), complementing the existing operations function, specifically for the management of the HPC environment. The role holder will also report to the&nbsp;M<sup id="isPasted">3</sup>4Impact leadership group.</p><p>The successful individual will be responsible for operational and service management processes to ensure that quality, efficiency, and agility goals are achieved. In terms of technical skills, at least five years&rsquo; experience within the Linux system administration field which includes proficient skills in scripting and automation.</p><p>Our Information and Library Services (ILS) Directorate delivers award winning IT services and support, library, academic and digital skills and learning enhancement to staff and students across the university. Our digital mission is to ensure everyone in our community is equipped to effectively use digital services, data and technology with confidence, efficiency and creativity in their learning, teaching, research and organisational support.</p><p>As a member of the ILS Directorate, the role contributes to the development and execution of the University&rsquo;s Digital Strategy.
